Overview

The Summa Cum Laude Autumn Music Tour 2027 is a 12-night European performance journey through Austria, Germany and Czechia, designed for student ensembles seeking a world-class cultural and musical experience

Beginning in Salzburg and travelling through Vienna, Prague and Nuremberg, the tour combines four professionally organised concert performances with immersive sightseeing across some of Europe’s most celebrated music cities. With a dedicated tour manager throughout, private coach transport and carefully selected accommodation, the experience is structured, safe and enriching from arrival to departure.

Musically, the tour offers outstanding development opportunities. Students perform in historic venues across Salzburg, Vienna, Prague and Nuremberg, sharing the stage with other ensembles and engaging in cultural exchange with local musicians. Highlights include a professional Jodel workshop in Salzburg, an expert-led ensemble workshop at the University of Music in Vienna, and entry to the interactive Haus der Musik museum. These experiences allow students to deepen their technical skills while connecting with Europe’s rich classical traditions in meaningful, hands-on ways.

Beyond performance, the itinerary showcases the cultural heart of Central Europe. Students explore Mozart’s Birthplace in Salzburg, the Baroque grandeur of Melk Abbey in the Wachau Valley, Vienna’s State Opera and St Stephen’s Cathedral, Prague’s medieval Old Town and Charles Bridge, and the historic streets of Nuremberg and Bayreuth. With guided tours, traditional Austrian dining experiences and time for local discovery, the tour delivers a powerful balance of music, history and cultural immersion.
